Big Sur is also a version of the macOS operating system by Apple Inc. It is the 17th major release of macOS, following macOS Catalina. Big Sur introduced a major redesign of the user interface, bringing a more iOS-like look with refreshed icons, new features like Control Center, and improvements to Messages and Safari.
