Animal husbandry, agriculture and forests are all under your control, so the task will not be so easy to cope with. All events in Need for Speed: Most Wanted take place in the fall, but only during the day and not at night. The gameplay is focused on street racing. The main story mode of the game is “Career”. As in the previous part of the series, Need for Speed: Underground 2, the player is given freedom of movement around the city. During free driving, the player can find racing icons; The appearance of these pictograms depends on the type of competition.

Unlike Underground 2, in Most Wanted the player does not have to drive to the race location in the city, but can instead choose to race in a garage. In addition to racing, throughout the city you can find the player's garages (English Safehouses), car markets and spare parts stores, which open throughout the game. The Long Dark is an exploratory survival simulation game where solo players must fend for themselves as they explore vast, frozen, uninhabited areas. There are no zombies here - just you, the cold and everything Mother Nature has to offer.

The Long Dark is brought to you by Hinterland Studio - an independent game developer staffed by industry veterans who have been involved in the creation of many famous series, including Far Cry, Red Faction, Saints Row, God of War, Mass Effect, Knights of the Old Republic, Dragon Age, Company of Heroes, etc. The Long Dark is the team's first attempt at creating a mind-activating, unique, independent game that pushes the boundaries of what's possible.

WINTERMUTE, part of the first story-driven season of The Long Dark, is two out of five episodes. In December 2018, in the Redux update, we radically redesigned both episodes: we changed the task system, rewrote the plot, dialogue, animation, and more.

EPISODE 1. “Don’t Go Humblely”

Long-haul pilot Will McKenzie (player character) and Dr. Astrid Greenwood are separated when a mysterious flash of light causes their plane to crash in the wilds of northern Canada. Desperate to survive and find Astrid, Mackenzie comes to the town of Milton, where she begins to realize the scale of this silent catastrophe.

EPISODE 2. “Luminous Fugue”

Mackenzie's search for Astrid leads her deep into the snow-covered wilderness. Perhaps the mysterious trapper will be able to help him, but can he be trusted?

The first two episodes of WINTERMUTE take approximately 15 game hours to complete. The next three episodes are included in the price of the game and will be unlocked for free upon release.
